Coconut Grove is the Sailing Capital of Miami

One of the advantages of living in a coastal city like Miami are the opportunities for boating. While yachts and motorboats are quite popular in this area, the sailing community in Miami is among one of the best in the region. The region's breezes and winds year-round make it ideal for the sailboat community and it is a more environmentally friendly option than other types of boating.

Although Miami in general has an active sailing community, Coconut Grove is without question the sailing capital of the city. Many of those in the sailing community love the area because it's centrally located yet calmer than other areas that one could dock from. It is also home to Dinner Key Marina, a landmark in the community and also happens to be Florida's largest wet slip boat dock. At this facility, there is 582 spaces for transient, long-term and commercial storage making it ideal for almost any boater needing a space.

With so many boats docked in this area, it has become a place where boat enthusiasts and fans come to gather to not only share in their love for boating but also enjoy the area's amenities. Just next to the marina, you can enjoy the neighboring parks on the bay including Kennedy Park and Peacock Park. Both of these areas are exceptional green spaces where you can enjoy walking baths, recreational activities and beautiful flora and fauna.

Because of the marina's central location it is also conveniently located to many top restaurants such as Scotty's Landing, Monty’s and other fine establishments. It is also just a few short minutes from CocoWalk, which has a number of shops, entertainment and dining options. Moreover, it is also close to the Ugo Di Roma Hair Salon Coconut Grove!

If you are in the area to visit the active boating community or wish to have a wind-swept hair look without going on a boat, visit the top Coconut Grove Hair Salon, Ugo di Roma!
