As a Coconut Grove Hair Salon, we like to keep up with events and activities within the community, and so we are very excited to share with you some great happenings in the Grove, which support very important causes.
One great cause that is very close to our hearts is the Boys & Girls Clubs, and for over 35 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs have been selling Christmas trees and wreaths to help raise money for their programs and this year is no different!
The wreaths and Christmas trees will be sold on Monday, November 24 at Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade's Hank Kline Club (2805 SW 32 Avenue), starting at 9 am and will be open several days a week from then until Christmas until 9 pm every night.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from tree and wreath sales will benefit the clubs, which serves thousands of boys and girls in Miami-Dade County with great programs throughout the year.
Another amazing cause is FEAST Miami (Funding Emerging Art with Sustainable Tactics), which is a meals-based micro-funding project in which there are pop-up dinners at art venues to financially support new and emerging creative projects. FEAST Miami is giving artists and small arts organizations the opportunity to submit a simple proposal for an art project at feastmiami.org by December 10.
Sunday, February 1, at 1 pm will be the third FEAST Miami, held at Fairchild Tropical Garden. FEAST Miami is supported by Knight Foundation's Knight Arts Challenge, in order to bring food and art together and thereby creating community. Projects should aim to be innovative, feasible and impact the community. You can find applications on feastmiami.org.
There is also another great art related happening, the Happy Wall, an interactive public art installation that asks people to take a piece of chalk and answer the question, "What makes YOU happy?" The Happy Wall is headed to Coconut Grove this holiday season, with the very large chalkboard structure being unveiled on November 29 at Cocowalk. The wall is for all to enjoy and everyone is invited to participate during it's 35 day run.
The idea of this wall was inspired by writer and Happiness Advocate, Hannah Sentenac's experience with depression and anxiety and her road to a happier, healthier life.
We hope you partake in these excellent upcoming events, and for a Hair Salon in Coconut Grove, contact Ugo Di Roma at (305)444-4461.

Relax With Our Wide Selection of Massages
While Miami is a tropical
paradise that many flock from around the world to visit for rest and
relaxation, locals can enjoy its lush beaches and warm climate year-round.
However, just because we live in a relaxing oasis does not mean we have the
ability to enjoy it. In fact, living in Miami
can be quite stressful. Between our hectic work schedules, long commutes stuck
in rush hour traffic, busy social calendars, taking care of our families,
running errands and so much more, there’s little to no free time for us to rest
and relax.
For many
who need a moment to take a breather, their method of choice is a trip to spa
to enjoy a relaxing massage. There are many benefits to enjoying a massage: not
only does a massage allow you to escape the troubles of the day and clear your
mind from all of the stresses of the days, but it will also help soothe aches
and pains throughout the bodies in addition to other
At Ugo di
Roma Hair Salon Coconut Grove, we offer a wide variety of massages that will
cater to your every need. With massages available in 30, 60 and 90 minute
durations, you can find a massage that can fit into your busy schedule. Among
our most popular massages is the aromatherapy massage, which involves rubbing
the skin with aromatic essential oils in a rhythmic technique to ease sore
muscles.
For those
looking with muscle fatigue or chronic pain, we recommend our Deep Tissue
massage will features deep compressions and strokes to treat specific muscles
in a way that will help ease pain and tightness. For a more relaxing message,
consider our Hot Stone Massage that will help alleviate stress and pressure
with the use of warm and cool stones.
If you
want to have a massage that promotes wellness, consider our lymphatic drainage
massage; this massage will uses light touches in coordinated movements that
help promote a healthy lymphatic and immune system. For a more traditional
massage, consider our popular Swedish Massage, a full body massage that will
balance circulation while helping soothe tired muscles.
Whatever
massage you choose, you will know you
are in the right hands. Not only do we offer massages but Ugo di Roma also
offers a number of spa treatments as well. As the top Coconut Grove Hair Salon,

The holidays are an exceptionally stressful time; everyone
knows that once Thanksgiving begins, it is just the beginning of the

invitations and so much more. At Ugo Di Roma, you can let our expert

Coconut Grove is the Sailing Capital of Miami
One of the
advantages of living in a coastal city like Miami are the opportunities for boating.
While yachts and motorboats are quite popular in this area, the sailing
community in Miami
is among one of the best in the region. The region's breezes and winds
year-round make it ideal for the sailboat community and it is a more
environmentally friendly option than other types of boating.
Although Miami in general has an
active sailing community, Coconut Grove is without question the sailing capital
of the city. Many of those in the sailing community love the area because it's
centrally located yet calmer than other areas that one could dock from. It is
also home to Dinner Key Marina, a landmark in the community and also happens to
be Florida' s
largest wet slip boat dock. At this facility, there is 582 spaces for
transient, long-term and commercial storage making it ideal for almost any
boater needing a space.
With so many
boats docked in this area, it has become a place where boat enthusiasts and
fans come to gather to not only share in their love for boating but also enjoy
the area's amenities. Just next to the marina, you can enjoy the neighboring
parks on the bay including Kennedy Park and Peacock
Park . Both of these areas
are exceptional green spaces where you can enjoy walking baths, recreational
activities and beautiful flora and fauna.
Because of
the marina's central location it is also conveniently located to many top
restaurants such as Scotty's Landing, Monty’s and other fine establishments. It
is also just a few short minutes from CocoWalk, which has a number of shops,
entertainment and dining options. Moreover, it is also close to the Ugo Di Roma
Hair Salon Coconut Grove!
If you are in the area to visit the active
boating community or wish to have a wind-swept hair look without going on a
boat, visit the top Coconut Grove Hair Salon, Ugo di Roma! To learn more about
the services we provide or to make an appointment, call (305) 444-4661 or

Local Spotlight – Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
As the top Coconut Grove Salon, we know that
our neighborhood has many great shops, restaurants, parks and tourist
destinations that people who live or are visiting the city come to see. One of
those attractions is the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, one of the great
architectural landmarks in Miami. Formerly the home of a wealthy industrialist,
it is now a museum and gardens for the public to enjoy.
Built in 1916 by industrialist Charles Deering, the tycoon
enlisted over 1,000 workers and millions of man hours to build this
extraordinary home, using some of the finest designers and buildings in the
world. Marbles, stones, glass and wood was sourced from the farthest reaches of
the globe to adorn this home and it is undoubtedly the finest home to ever be
constructed in Miami. With over 70
rooms throughout the room, they filled to the brim with antiques from Europe,
many of which date all the way back to the 15th century.
Among the greatest features of this property are the
extraordinary gardens that make up a significant part of the property. At over
ten acres, the grounds have been kept meticulously manicured to exacting
specifications. The Formal Gardens resemble the landscaping of the finest
French palaces with low shrubs that form shapely walkways. The Fountain Garden includes a
centerpiece water fixture that was imported from Italy and still pours water
almost 100 years later!
The property was only used by its owner for a short time as the
owner died in the mid 1920s. But it has since been taken over by a non-profit
and maintained to this day. Much of the home has been kept as it was last left
in the 1920s. Because weather and climate have taken a toll on the mansion, the
estate has been restored several times to ensure that it looks as it was in the
early 20th century.
Ugo di Roma Hair Salon Coconut Grove is conveniently located within a short
drive of our salon! Many of our customers visit Vizcaya to take wedding or
quinceaƱera photos, to attend a lavish party or just on a day trip just to
enjoy the grounds! To learn more about the services we provide and to book an
appointment, call 305.444.4661 or email info@ugodiroma.com
